According to a recent survey conducted by University Grants Commission (UGC), India was operating more than 50 fake universities across Uttar Pradesh and Delhi. Union Minister of Human Resource Development Smriti Irani aforementioned that they are writing & enquiring the Ministry of External Affairs to generate a list of fake universities in India so that no more students would further get into the trap.
